Has Cristobal sniffed a title? Although not sure why he has to be compared to O.

He's a good O line coach and excellent recruiter but he'll continue to hold back talented teams.

Everything you read about Napier is that his time at Florida won't be much longer maybe 2-3 years. I never think about Miami but their boosters must just think if you buy the best players eventually you'll win a title.

Yeah I’m so damn glad we passed on Napier. And Napier as a straight coach I don’t think is terrible. I just don’t think he’s geared to run a major program with any sustainability. He’s like Kiffin in that regard.

Cristobal is average but really isn’t the man who’ll take Miami much further than past regimes. Dude underachieved at Oregon. Florida State has a brighter future, although I don’t have much trust in any of the Florida programs to truly be elite

He was headed to UF about a month ago. He only weighs 173 or so pounds which is what is holding him back right now.

Can’t fully trust Norvell just yet. The players are legit and Norvell has made strides but he continues to have lackluster recruiting. I don’t see them getting to the top tier of programs, like I would an LSU, but I anticipate they’ll be good to very good at 9-3/10-2 and vying for the ACC Championship.

Well that’s quite the downgrade, now is it? Though obviously for the kid, he’s a Florida product, so that makes it easier on him, I imagine. Are you hearing of any others from Georgia that might leave, Porter?

You just answered your own question.

They don't allow specific names until their actually in the portal since family members actually post on there. I just know we're expecting more OL and WR than any other position. Probably about 7 more players.

Yeah makes sense on that front. Georgia seems to have some great depth on the line, so playtime elsewhere is likely more enticing for a few. Not to mention Big Bo and Freeling incoming.

Singletary from UGA
Omar Speights from OR State
TreVeyon Henderson from tOSU

that would be a nice trio of additions to our current class! Make it happen BK!

They will be pretty dang good and will be a tough game to win. But saying they will be elite is a bit too much at the moment lol

Certainly could be, but they are not built to last. And you don’t know how great looking portal guys will mesh until you have them. Just look at Bama with Ricks and Burton both falling far short of expectations.

This, their lack of recruiting in talent rich Florida will haunt them. Can only grab from the portal so much.

Norvell’s mediocre recruiting has surprised me a bit. He was the best recruiter that Memphis had ever seen by far. When he was at Memphis, either they, UCF or Cincy had the best class in the G5 every season and it often wasn’t close. Those 3 and Houston were beating out several lower P5 programs.

I thought he would know how to step his level up, but that hasn’t happened so far. If it hasn’t by now then I’m not sure it will. That’s especially true with Napier and Cristobal both all-in on recruiting.

Big jump from Louisiana to the SEC.

Huge learning curve - style of play, top talent, boosters, recruiting… It was always a long shot for Billy.

Thank the good Lord, LSU went with a proven winner.
