247 Decision Preview Article

quote:

2020 Calabasas (Calif.) wide receiver Jermaine Burton is set to make his college commitment sometime on April 20 with the 247Sports Crystal Ball having picks in for four different programs. LSU has risen to the top with 67 percent of the picks while Alabama, Georgia and Miami all have 11 percent of the picks as his decision date closes in.

The Georgia native has taken his lone official visit to LSU at this point, but has made unofficial visits to Alabama and other programs in the past. Burton was once committed to Miami last March before backing off his pledge in May. Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, UCLA and plenty of others have put offers on the table for the four-star wide receiver.

According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, Burton ranks as the No. 35 overall prospect in the country, No. 7 wide receiver nationally and No. 7 prospect in California. 247Sports ranks Burton as the same overall prospect in the country while bumping him to the No. 6 wide receiver nationally, but the No. 9 overall prospect in California.

Jermaine will commit at 12pm pacific time

2pm central and 3pm eastern

The reason behind is 4/20 commitment is that his one of the people who played a large role in him making it to where he is celebrates his bday today... nothing to do with maryjane

TL thinks Burton ultimately goes the way of Navarrette (based on history). Will be interesting to see which Cali kids (Ricks aside) end up sticking...

Cristobal is doing work in Eugene. Literally the only landmark program at the moment in the PAC-12, and I only say that because they should curb stomp everyone they play in the conference, and a lot of it is built up on hype from Herbert.

I think Oregon’s first game next year against Auburn will be very big for any SEC schools recruiting the west coast. If the kids see a close-to-home program beat one of the usually better SEC teams it will turn some heads.
