This DL already aint too, bad, but my God Davis and Peoples are going to have LSU's DL at prime Nick Saban Bama levels in a couple years. The best thing about it, is both are career DL coaches and unless Peoples wants to coach the entire DL in a lateral move somewhere else or the NFL level, we could have both til Kelly retires.

Shows him as a DT, but is 6' 2" and 245-250. Any chance he works out as a SDE?

He had eight solo tackles and three sacks vs. Zachary

Dominick's little brother. I have seen more than one person suggest he has a little more drive than his brother and may end up being a better overall player. Only time will tell.

You've seen them both play, Clean. Curious about your thoughts.

Thanks. I'm not much help here.

I have only seen the one game last weekend. Coach McCullough said in a follow up this week that McKinley had played himself into shape and was doing it well. Also, the 2027 Collin DiBetta ATH has an Ole Miss offer.

Nice article. I am wondering about Gabe Mocek at STM. When I was in high school at Acadiana, back in the late 70s (1980 graduate), I had a classmate named Greg Mocek. Mocek is not a common name in this area (the only other one I knew was his little sister). It makes me wonder if they are related.

I looked that name up. It looks like he became a federal government bigwig in Washington DC.

Any relationship to Gawain DiBetta, Tiger running back in the mid 60’s. Would have to be grandpa, if related.

I take it as they still have hope for his brother

Or

They are so terribly desperate for DLs

I may not be Clean but I watched a lot of Acadiana games last year and both games this year. Darryus was probably their best pass rush rusher last year as a sophomore. Definitely gets after the QB. Him and his brother played two different positions so it’s hard to compare. He’s not an inside guy he’s strictly a DE.

Yes his family has ties to Holy Cross where I believe Gawain played before he went to LSU. When Acadiana played them in the playoffs last year there was a story about the Dibettas and Holy Cross. Their father was pretty good too I read. Very good genes in the family. Colin is a great player but wide receivers in Acadianas offense don’t get many opportunities. He does make the most of the chances he gets. Very few freshman play varsity at Acadiana but Colin did. He has the chance to be special imo.

I read that Gawain.Dibetta is in the Holy Cross HOF.

In keeping with the thread subject, I’m happy to see good DL prospects leaning our way. Build a winner with good coaches and they will come.

I like him.

Think he will turn out to be a pretty good player.

Darryus would be a great addition!

Secondly, despite Dom not playing he must enjoy and appreciate being part of the LSU Tiger team and his coaches!
