The commitment from Kiner gives the Tigers 189.45 points on the 247Sports Team Rankings, moving LSU from the No. 15 class up to No. 11, trailing Michigan by just two points. The Tigers now have 10 total commitments in for the 2021 recruiting cycle.
Faulk and LSU's staff made a big push for Kiner's commitment this spring, and the Ohio native's 20-plus scholarship offers also included the likes of Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Wisconsin, Texas A&M and more.
What are the Tigers getting in the 5-foot-10, 205-pound back out of Ohio?
As a junior this past fall, Kiner topped 2,200 yards rushing and 40 rushing touchdowns on the year. The four-star has been a varsity starter since the first game of his freshman year, and he now has 5,264 yards rushing and 88 touchdowns in three varsity seasons. He's also seen extensive action as a return specialist on kickoff and punts, and he continues to be worked into the Roger Bacon High (Cincinnati, Ohio) pass game, making him one of the more versatile running backs in the 2021 class.

Thickly built with a compact frame. Runs hard and shows good balance and ability to break tackles.Shows burst and accelerates quickly when he gets the ball. Does a good job of quickly finding lanes as well and runs with little hesitation. Has solid change of direction and ability to cut. Not a back that will make as many defenders miss as he will run through arm tackles. Play speed is better than timed or measured speed at this point. Has done well as a return man as well at the high school level. Must continue to work on his top end speed and polish pass-catching skills, but projects as a productive, starting back at the Power Five level and someone who will have an opportunity to play beyond college.

Would be a solid second back behind Wheaton or LJ. With Curry entering his senior year, you're left with Emery, TDP and Bradford

Wondering about Wheaton hearing he stays Big 12. Aggies believe LJ will end up with them. Obviously it’s early.

The Aggies believe they’re getting everyone...until they don’t.

I guess you're not allowed to hurdle people in his district

With that No. 22 also, gives off a little CEH vibe

Been hearing Wheaton to SMU. And LJ says he talks to A&M the most so I don't doubt it.

I wouldn't mind seeing SMU put themselves on the map. Some of the alternate unis they've used recently are very clean

He is the #7 running back on one site and #9 on another site. Composite has him at #10 because 247! Brings him down having him at #20
