EPS Blaze
The Lousiana-based group features one of the nation's top running backs in TreVonte' Citizen. He has long been considered a top priority for both LSU and Texas A&M. Speaking of the Tigers, EPS Blaze's defense is led by LSU three-star defensive back commit Marcus Scott II. Other prospects of note on the roster include Kody Finley (who is the brother of LSU quarterback TJ Finley) and three-star cornerback Brylan Green.

I see the good work you are doing here Cap, and it’s much appreciated. Would be nice if we could consolidate the discussions in threads like you are attempting to do.
Maybe the admins could even help by linking your “commit discussion” threads in the stickied commitment thread for each recruit.
Dwright’s summary of recruits by position is also solid work as well and would be good if there was a stickied thread that had links to each individual position thread.
ETA: and I think dwright could even improve his thread by another level if he reserved the first response post for your handiwork for each recruit.

I think we all just forget about the huge sticky at the top

Posted on 3/16/21 at 3:32 pm to Captain Crown
we've tried that for past 3 recruiting cycles. If chicken doesn't post it, no sticky.

We've had some really good big lists of LSU targets but they do their own thing

No one reads stickies. PLease keep making threads to fuel discussuin

This is true, nobody reads the stickies. It's kinda sad that we have to make these threads just to have something to do around here though. Recruiting is very dry right now. Actually....I found something.

I’m with Lester, in that I hardly ever read any of those sticky posts at top of the board.
Much prefer Captain’s style of starting a new thread dedicated to individual targets/prospects (keep up the good work ‘CC’).
The only reason I jammed so many prospects into those “positional overview” posts was so folks could familiarize themselves with the prospects we are initially targeting at positions of need for 2022.
Agree with previous post about things slowing down a bit on the recruiting front as of late. And my apologies for not starting any threads lately, as I am currently up to my eyeballs in tax returns at work.
That said, I am working on a couple posts I think you guys will like to chime in on, and I look forward to discussing them with y’all as soon as I get them posted. Talk soon boys & girls!!

No one even talked about marcus scott.

Wow, that’s a valid point Chalky.
I have a comment about Scott - I read that he had a very impressive showing at the most recent 7-on-7 tournament that was down in NOLA. The report basically said Marcus Scott is a long, rangy corner with great ball skills and above average ability to cover man-on-man in space. Only negative was that he is a little undersized but that once he fills out his frame, he has excellent potential at the P5 level.
UPDATE: One other thing I will say about our 3 CB commitments, in general. While I like Marcus Scott and his potential, I fruckin’ LOVE Laterrance Welch and believe he has potential to be an ELITE corner. Perhaps it’s my P&G glasses and the fact that Welch is committed to LSU, but I like him over Earl Little & Julian Humphrey. Denver Harris is the lone CB in 2022 class that I won’t place in higher regard than Welch, and I don’t consider the gap between Harris and Welch to be all that wide.
I’ve also heard really, really good things about JaDarian Rhym. And while I do believe he lags behind Welch a bit, I firmly believe he has the skill to be a great SEC corner. Lastly, I believe M. Scott fits into a tier behind Rhym, but again, I believe he has adequate talent to be a P5 cornerback that can be a regular contributor to LSU’s defense.

I like the lists that you make. I could add the links and stuff just to yours. It might have to be spaced out over two or three posts though.
On Scott II he really seems to be doing well at camps and early on appears he will get that 4th *.

100% agree with you ‘CC’, I bet Scott does end up earning a 4th * before his recruitment process is complete.
Just FYI, i’m starting to believe we end up taking four (4) corners this cycle. And while I’m hoping the 4th CB commitment comes from one of several highly-rated targets we’re after (i.e., Earl Little, Julian Humphrey), i’m not overly confident on these bigger name guys.
I name I do like is Chris Graves out of South Florida. He raves about it call Raymond and their relationship so I am starting to believe we have a shot with the kid. He’s only a three star right now but similar to Scott I believe he will earn a fourth star in the near future

My daughter attended College Park HS. If Scott is in The Academy at CP it is a very rigorous schedule. CP prides itself in academics so we are most likely getting a great young man with his head on straight. I will attend a few games this year. CP is not known for its football prowess but did have a good season last year in beating The Woodlands HS.

Has Scott gotten any new offers recently
Posted on 3/19/21 at 8:36 am to Lester Earl
Nope... seems like this is Raymond's diamond in the rough
Posted on 3/19/21 at 9:19 am to Captain Crown
He’s growing on me, but still, there are some LA guys that have to be comparing offers & saying wtf

Is this kid related to the coach at Destrehan?
