I know but Bates is an average football player, Lee will do good in football and baseball for LSU.

Lee has a 94 miles per hour fastball. What round of the MLB is he projected to go this year? If he turns down the money, great for LSU.
If Bates has agreed to walkon with no scholarship in sight, that's fine too. All I'm saying is if a scholarship is needed, it may come from Lee - IF he signs MLB.

Wing is one of the players i am most looking forward to seeing how he does. He impressed me in the two games I watched him this season

Ace midnight the 25 would give us 91 so 6 players would need to transfer or quit.To me that's themost important question.Who are these 6 going to be.

correct... Signing 25 this year shows there will be some attrition. I read on another board there is a top name from the 09 class that may be part of it due to position change..I hope thats not the case.
However, its your call to sign as many as you want, one year i think LSU signed 13. IF you know attrition is there, u sign the max (25) if there isnt much attrition you sign as many u can to fall at (85)

Trying to see exactly how many guys are on schollie. Are Dugas or Alleman on scholarship? If both aren't and we finish at 25, I can getting a total of 90 now. That sound right?

I think Dugas, was awarded one this past year..Not sure if its going to be renewed. Think Jasper and Helton are the only scholarship kicker/punter on the team. I think Russian is on scholarship too.

If Dugas has one (I included Russian), that would put us at 91 max this year which isn't too bad. That being said it is hard looking at the roster and finding six guys you would be ok booting.

I agree Greg D in that I'm not sure which 6 I would like to see go.2 guys I think are definite candidates are Kyle Prater and Kellen Theriot.I don't see either one really helping the team anytime in their careers.That's no offense to the kids but there are more talented guys ahead of them.

I strongly suspect that Jarrett Lee will transfer if he's not #1 coming out of Spring Ball (which is unlikely).

Isn't Francois supposed to be in line to take Chad Jones spot at FS battling with Ron Brooks? As long as he earns it in spring/ fall? Why would he leave?

Would love if him and Francois could both make it into the starting line up.
Does anyone know if Claiborne is expected to play more at WR or DB they have him listed as both on the roster but I thought he supposedly looked really good in the fall practice last year at CB.
