I would be a little underwhelmed with that finish. Not that it's not a great class, but I think we will pull a higher rated second OT like the kid from Washington. And not pulling Stewart, Nolan or any of the other five stars that were competing for would be a letdown.
Still a good class, but for how much hype this years class has received, I expect and hope for a better finish than this.

Easy to negative recruit LSU and their new coordinators right now. On the field can get LSU back in it for these prospects.

No Stewart or Nolen in this class would be very disappointing

I would be thrilled to finish 2022 as Shea’s prediction piece reflects, except for one (1) spot - Jacob Hood.
Don’t mean to bad mouth the kid, but this has to be the year we sign an exceptional OL class. Not just an above average OL class, but an exceptionally great one. J. Hood dropped from 370 down to 418 in last week’s update (per 247sports composite), plus at 342 lbs., the kid’s heavier than preferred for an OT.
With three (3) really good O-Lineman in-state and a 4* OG from AL already on-board, ‘O’ and Cregg gotta close one more OOS tackle from this list of interested prospects:
1. Julian Armella,
2. Malik Agbo, or
3. Fisher Anderson

It really is incredible. You might as well add Walker!

Projected 295.76 point class on 247. That’ll be 4 straight top 5 classes for the Tigers.

That’s kind of a pessimistic view of this class.
I can't disagree. The oline looks pretty weak. "Sleepers" & "High motor" types won't compete with Bama's class.

Would really like to see Cam East, Shemar Stewart and Harold Perkins in this class. Also Denver Harris would be nice

Cam East needs to show me a lot more before I'd be ok taking him, his film from junior year is pretty meh. People just seemingly fell in love with his size and I think havent watched any of his film. When you compare him to Bordelon, it's really no comparison their junior year film. Certainly would be nice to get Stewart, Perkins or Harris for sure though.

Don’t we need more than two linebackers? Even with Jones and Stong, looks like we need some TRue freshemen to come in for the future.
ETA. Not sure how long strong has. Pretty sure Jones is here as a sophomore right?

Thunderbird is spot on in his assessment of Cam East. Not trying to badmouth the kid, but he has some ground to make up to receive an offer from LSU. By that, I mean improvement in his technique involving things like footwork, hand placement, use of leverage, and overall physicality.
I will say that He does have ideal size for the tackle position, so he has potential to improve his senior season and I’m hoping he does!

6’4” 349 - does this make sense in our defense, or do we still not know what our new scheme will be at this point?
people put to much emphasis on how a player fits in a particular scheme or recruiting for a particular scheme. Best to recruit the best players you can get and not get caught up in whole idea of schemes. Big, strong, athletic, and fast is generally better than smaller, weaker, less athletic and slower. Best to recruit players who have more of some combination of the first set of traits.

Why do you want cam east?
I looked at his film and he got beat a bunch.
I don't see how we aren't in it more for harold perkins.
