There is only one well known fact in your post and that was the down year in La thing. The rest is conjecture you made up.

If Bama wasn't recruiting La hard why did Marshall's coach ban the Bama staff from his school?

How did they sign 3-stars Eddie Smith and Slade Bolden?

Why was Dare Rosenthal committed to them?

Why did Saban visit Joseph within a few days of signing day?

Alabama has a recruiting staff that is probably the largest in the nation. They were trying to get more La players than what they did. That is a FACT.

Don't worry though, I'm sure your school is trying to make inroads into Louisiana for this class just like the last one. Maybe ya'll will do better this year.

I think it was more that the strongest position instate, WR, was not a big need for them.

With that said, I would take both Jamarr Chase and Terrace Marshall over Devonta Smith.

You seem pretty enthusiastic about LSU recruiting. It must make it hard to accept the reality of the situation that things aren't all roses as it relates to LSU v. Alabama, whether on the field, recruiting or otherwise. You must be a joy of a person to have to deal with.

Why, because I'm not a chicken shite like you? If you want to give up and roll over and play dead for your God two states to the east, go for it.

Alabama just had their worst class in years. Meanwhile a coach who was on their staff for the majority of those years just finished #1 and had seven 5-star commits. That includes a 5-star LB he flipped from God right before signing day.

You have catastrophe syndrome and I don't. What can I say.

I'd feel good about Thomas, Stingley, Prker and Palmer.
The rest are toss ups.

Lee gone.

Good. Now we have you on record. So when we sign two you will be happy and you quit melting and whining . And if we double your expectations and get four you should be positively giddy and you won't be able to contain your optimism. And when we get six of them you will throw a party for the board and contemplate the fact that you are a Debbie Downer and vow to change your ways.

Not sure. This is from the SEC Country article on his offer.

"Harris plays wide receiver and safety for University, helping to lift the team to a Division II state title in December. It is unclear what position the LSU coaching staff prefers the 6-foot-1, 235-pound athlete at, but Harris informed SEC Country it would be on the offensive side of the ball."

False, go ask Sonny, Shea, Billy, any of the guys in the know. Alabama spent a whole lot less time in the state this past year, because why would they spend as much time recruiting a weaker class of players? You even agreed it was a weak class. So why would it make sense for them to spend so much time recruiting here?

1st off, Rosenthal no longer had a spot at Bama. They thought he dropped off with his move to DL and not wanting to play OL. 2nd off, how does mentioning a few players make you right? Did I say they recruited NO ONE in the state? No, I said they spent a lot less time, because as you ALREADY agreed, it was a much less talented class overall. Did you not just see us finish with our weakest recruiting class since probably 2005? that's because the state overall was DOWN.

They already hitting this state harder for 2019 than they ever did in 2018. They will get theirs, just watch.

My memory isn't as good as it used to be. Will you remind me of the Louisiana recruits they got in February?

I know Dare Rosenthal was committed to Bama at one time. Did he sign with Saban?

Saban visited Kelvin Joseph a few days before national signing day. Did he sign with Saban?

Bama came hot and heavy for Terrace Marshall - the #1 receiver in the country. Did he sign with Saban?

If all those guys turned their nose to LSU and signed with Saban that is a horrible precedent by the current LSU coaching staff.

Did they only get those 3 Louisiana players or were there more?

Thanks in advance for helping with my bad memory on this recruiting thing !!!

Bama didn't dominate last year ANYWHERE like they have been doing, but the year before they definitely raided Louisiana. Sad to say, but I believe it will happen again this year.

We sure have some crappy posters. I won't even say LSU fans as that would be an insult to actual fans.

Miserable year round is no way to be. And hating everything LSU - past, present, and even future - is just pathetic. But then, pathetic suits them.

Okay, you could definitely be correct on this. I don't have a sub to 24/7. The only thing I would question is why would they wait if 2019 is supposed to be so loaded. Part of recruiting is building relationships and the longer the better in most cases.

Now this is bullshite. That's like saying I asked a girl to go out with me, she said NO so I broke up with her right away. (song reference)

I don't know who "they" is but they really thought wrong on this one.

From an article on AL.com that was posted on April 16, 2016:
"According to a report from BamaOnline, 4-star offensive lineman Dare Rosenthal has called off his commitment to the Crimson Tide while on a visit to LSU for the Tigers' spring game. The massive 6-foot-7, 290-pound star is rated as one of the top prospects of the 2018 recruiting class and committed to Alabama nearly a year ago in May of 2015.

Rosenthal told BamaOnline "I'm still considering them as one of my top schools," regarding Alabama."

2018 OL Dare Rosenthal decommits from Alabama

From Bama Hammer:
"This isn’t the way things are supposed to go during A-Day weekend. The University of Alabama is supposed to pick up some verbals and not lose them. Nonetheless, the class of 2018 for the Crimson Tide lost one of its only two verbals on Saturday.

According to BamaOnline, Dare Rosenthal has decided to decommit from Alabama. With him opening things back up for his recruitment, that leaves only four-star tight end Malcolm Epps.

The 6-foot-7, 290-pound prospect is currently on a visit to LSU in Baton Rouge. He is rated the No. 10 tackle and the No. 53 overall player in the class by 247Sports."
An offensive tackle for the class of 2018, Dare Rosenthal, has decommitted from Alabama on Saturday.

Wasn't sure, there has been an ATM poster in here the last couple days announcing that all the recruits were going to Aggieland. I just figured you were a Bama fan since you are on here defending them and pretty much making the same proclamation as the Aggy but on Bama's behalf.

For such a reported deep and talent LA class for 2019, there are "only" 11 4- or 5-star players. Of those 11, I see the Tigers with 8 of those 11.

If you add in Starks (a 4-star recruit who should be listed at #6 here), LSU gets 9 of the 12 4-star or better recruits in LA.

HOW MISERABLE IS THAT!??!

1. DT Sopsher - Hit
2. OL K Thomas - Hit (HOW is this guy not a 5*?)
3. CB Stingley - Hit
4. RB Embry - MISS
5. WR D Lee - MISS
6. ILB Starks - Hit
7. OT R Parker - Hit
8. ATH C Harris - Hit
9. WR T Palmer - Hit
10. S Burdine - MISS
11. RB T Davis - Hit
12. CB D Bush - Hit

Embry - I think we get Cain to go with Davis at RB and I am more than fine with that as I think both are better.

D Lee - I think he's Bama. Not a real concern for me. Palmer plus the absolute haul we got this year is more than fine.

Burdine - Doesn't seem to be much interest from LSU (or other big programs) for him.

So, LSU gets 9 of the top 12 players in LSU. 9 of the 12 4-star and better players in the state.

How is that losing the state again? The wall's down how?

Whatever. Be miserable you miserable little pricks.

Everyone's ready to give up and just hope Bama leaves us enough to hang our hat on. We have to have the most defeatist group of fans there is. Its crazy.

I feel good about all of them in one way it another. Obviously some more than others.
Lets talk about the 3 most think are gone.

Emery-we have to start getting him on campus. I don't however believe its a huge deal right now. He's seeing other places while he can. He's seen LSU many times and has all summer and fall to see LSU many more times. We don't complain when Texas kids are here instead of elsewhere do we?

Lee-have never been real confident in him but its not Bama that scares me really. Have you seen their depth chart? As with ours, its loaded. Difference is this, he's a take all the way here, can we say the same there? I don't think so. The one constant with Saban is that things are never constant. His board changes more than any I've ever seen. A kid they press now, like Lee, won't be a take by the spring game. They push initially out of the gate hoping to sway a commitment then work to keep it. Its easier to keep a commitment than fight for one. I'd worry with FSU.

Harris-he will be at LSU as long as the spot is there. Who wouldn't be mesmerized and on a visit high after visiting there? You have to let things play out after a single visit. Are we so defeatist that one Jr day visit has us giving up? I don't get it. He also may be a victim if the changing board there. Regardless fight for him and convince him home is where he wants to be.

Unless of course it's the Bama beat writers and then LSU has no chance. You people amaze me!! Idk why you do anymore but you do. Lee was never coming here, Emery seems to want to leave the state, but we can still get him, the rest are all game.

If we lose Lee, it will have much more to do with the class we just signed. Of course losing him to that other team would hurt but otherwise not so much. LSU needs to take care of our needs, nothing more. Get em Tigers!!
