I was born and raised in Bossier and still live here currently. I myself went to Airline and LSU as well so pretty cool to see this.

I did a deep dive and am trying figure out if this is the first Viking ever offered/committed out of high school.

It's crazy to me, who graduated in the 90s from Parkway, that there would be more Panthers than Vikings with LSU scholarships.

I actually thought Airline as a player in football was dying but not only was I wrong, it appears that their new coach is elevating them above anything they’ve ever had.

I’ll be curious to see if Northwestern holds on to Ben Taylor. Can’t imagine he’s not had any offers from Power 5 schools.

Preferred walk on a Miss st. is only other one Ive heard about but not extremely close to the situation. He's a pretty good athlete and is the most productive public or non select school qb ever in the state of Louisiana. Hopefully he earns a real D1 offer just based on what he's accomplished.

That’s crazy. He’s a great kid as well. The other receiver for Airline, Jarvis Davis has been super productive and is very talented.

Decent size, good hands, outstanding quickness; he is a take.

Goes back to the 80s when the HC tried to make one of the best QB prospects from the area at the time (My brother) a defensive end and run the ball 90% of the time.

Yep.

Jim Wells was one of my HS baseball coaches, he was a student teacher at Airline at the time.

I do hope Airline survives the movement of the area, though I do predict that in 10 years time, Benton will be the hitter in the area.

Probably so. Benton is definitely up and coming.

My younger brother was the center on that basketball team in the mid 80s that went 30-0 in the regular season.
