Especially with the way the recruiting has gone this ueat and last.
I'm worried about next year when Wingo and maason are gone.
Yes, they will hit the portal but games are won and lost on the lines and qb.
I don't know what they need to do to change it up but if you want to be a top team you have to get elite players on the d line.
You aren't going to luck into a Wingo every year.
Hopefully they have a plan. Development also seems to be a problem last few years.

Masson is gone after this year? Is that true?

I mean this is his third year on ccampus.
If he has a great year he will probably go to the draft.
Same as Wingo. I'm just saying it's very possible.
Maybe bk can convince them to stay. At this point Wingo has had the better career.

I took it to mean turn on the tape of the Acadiana LCA game from last week and see who popped on the D line.
He said hills is playing better than mckinley on the same day line.
I honestly haven't gotten to check our much mckinley. I have no problem with Kelly having a backup plan on d line. Seems like they didn't have one last year at dt.
How do you not sign a single guy out of high school? At lsu. Shite us crazy.

If he plays the whole season there's no chance he returns being draft eligible. I mean sure there's probably some off chance if he gets hurt again maybe he doesnt put the season together he wants and comes back for a 4th year but if he plays the whole season he's a 1st/2nd rounder probably.

He shouldn’t be. He has a lot to work on.

McKinley over Reliford
LSU would take both, and will be ecstatic if they land Relliford.

Only 6’2 but we need all the dlineman we can get. Some Shreveport baws to throw some cash

Two of our better D-Lineman:
Jacobian Guillory 90 DT 6' 2"
Mekhi Wingo 18 DT 6' 1"
Being a slightly shorter player helps with leverage

That's the good thing about NIL LSU can match 2nd round and beyond money for them to stay, especially for someone like Mason Smith who has the potential be a top 10 pick when right. You can possibly make more money staying and be treated almost god like in baton rouge while working yourself to be that top 10 first round pick

People acting like LSU wouldn’t take a top 150 d lineman if they had another one already lol. You always take multiple if you can.

Jordan Jefferson looks good. He's gone next year, but we got him and Wingo in back to back seasons out the portal. Trust me, somebody good will be looking to transfer here. When they see that LSU just got 2, possibly 3 DL drafted in the same year.
And it's not like we have nobody there already. Lee will be hear 5, Gulliory will be year 4, Langston year 4, West year 3, Hill year 3, Hell the true freshman Carpenter has said to be a future DT. That's 6 plus the incoming one we have is seven. If we can find one true starter in the portal to play beside Guillory, we have the depth to rotate.

Watched him play last week. He can definitely help LSU. Very athletic, strong, and quick. I see him as an end. I’ll take him over a guy 6’5” who lacks the flexibility and ability to get around blockers and chase a guy down the line to the outside.

Bennie Logan and Rashard Lawrence, are both 6’2”.
Glenn Dorsey was one of the more decorated to play at LSU, at 6’1”.
Kyle Williams played in the NFL for 13 years, he’s 6’1”.
Height should never enter into the equation, with the DL, you can play football, or you can’t.

We have 18 players on the roster listed as DE, DT and DL, only one is a Sr.
Of those 15 players, 6 have transferred in from other schools.
So far this season, we’ve played 10 players on the line. The Grambling game, allowed to play a few extra.
11 of the players are Freshmen or Sophomore’s.

I'm sorry but I watched that Ahmad Breaux kid and I can't believe they took his commitment.
I hope I'm wrong.
