Toviano is a safety and Austin flipped to Oregon.

Maason Smith should play as a sophomore next year right? I believe that he was a true Freshman 2021, so he could either use it now or medical if I'm off?

Cb, DT, S are the weakest spots with CB looking really rough. We need at least one more starter quality guy at DT/NT and probably 3 starting cb’s from the portal. Hopefully we land Cypress and 2 more elite guys make a switch.

Why no mention of Welch? Thought he was supposed to be a good one, am I missing something? You guys move on in no time and forget about the players we do have.

So
I think the fair answer to that is the thought that with the portal you have to produce quick.
Welch could feel that he was ready but got passed up by transfers.
So he may enter the portal.
THat may not be the right thing to do, but who does the right thing anymore?
So if he gets passed up by two or three portal CBs, then some would wonder if he stays.....knowing full, well that he could turn on like Bennie Logan in his Junior Year. It just happens that way.
