It looks like this class is pretty stacked top to bottom with great pitchers in Marshall, Latz, Godfrey, Lange and Deichmann, Bradley, Papierski, and the Jordan Twins swinging the sticks and all possibly contributing right away as freshman given they make it to campus. I haven't followed it enough to know but how are we looking as far as landing some of the big names in this class? Coupled with the team we have coming back next yr this team could dangerous the next couple of yrs.

Marshall and Bradley are long shots

Everyone else we stand a chance to land, Deichman would likely be the next in line to sign MLB.

Bradley can flat out rake! I hope he makes it hear but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I heard all 12 get drafted and Mainieri thinks we can get 11 of those 12 to campus.

I have never heard Maineri be so confident in a recruiting class, so perhaps they have gotten together and discussed playing together.

What's the scouting report on Austin Bain? perfect game doesn't say much about him

Bain cannot play at that level, unless its on the mound!

Bain is a solid built SS/RHP who I think will see the field on the mound earlier than the field in his career. Strong arm, still needs to refine his pitches. Will be a solid inning guy early on who can run it in the low nineties.

And we know this how? Looking at his size, handedness, and repertoire, the kid will be gobbled up fast in the draft. A lefty throwing 94 with an advanced breaking ball on a frame with room for weight/power is an early take. Only way I see him landing in BR is if the money is just that drastically off.

AWESOME! Actually just heard on Sports Today that Mac sent a letter out to teams, just like Deichmann did, stating he intendeds to go to LSU so please do not draft me. Would LOVE to have this class show up in its entirety, although with our track record, I'm not banking on it.

Is this the kid out of Georgia? If so, supposedly he is drafting up a letter to let MLB teams know he is all LSU. Now it could be a Zach Lee situation and he decides it's too good to pass up but as of now he really wants to work with AD.

Yes thats him, and yes I just heard that little bit of info too. Would love to see this class come in and play. Would be legendary!

ETA: Our recruit list with AD would produce some nice draft picks in a few years, although a few of those guys already have the pure stuff to be high picks. Some refinement would be great for them though.

While this is good new for LSU, Marshall is doing what is best for him and his family right now. The greater leverage he has the more money he can bargain for. His signing will go down to the wire I can guarantee.

Are they at least middle class?

Adam, you like our chances with everyone but bradley and marshall? damn I would kill to get at least one of the two

Marshall will/would be the jewl of the class.

Bradley was that one guy you sign and hope he drops, nothing more nothing less.

Godfrey has always been a guy who's high on teams charts; however with that being said his senior season was well below his junior year and circuits including a drop in velocity.

The class is incredibly deep. If I was to compare to a football ranking it would be at least 85% made up of 4 stars or higher who based on talent alone would be drafted in rounds 1-40.

Guys like Deichmann, Byrd, Lange, Latz, Bain, and the Jordan twins are all top end players who should see playing time early on in their careers.
