5'11, 180 lb Nick Harvey, the no. 2 overall player on the Lone Star Recruiting's Top 100 for 2014, says LSU is his number one right now. For reference purposes, Tony Brown is no. 3, Ed Paris no. 7 and Brandon Simmons no. 20. Hoza Scott is no. 1. Goddam this defensive back haul in 2014 could be downright filthy...and mostly from east Texas.

Kid said PP7 and TM7 are his favorite players. He said he tries to emulate PP7 in his own game currently and loves TM7's play-making ability.

Just goes to show you how far that great publicity and the individual accolades go with these young prospects.

Great to see.

Said PP7 & TM7 are his role models and he tries to pattern his game after both of them.

i guess all the texas kids heard what Torshiro Davis said about the LSU divide and wanted to bring about 10 of their friends with them so they had someone to talk to in the locker room.

There's film of him and nearly all of the other 2014 guys that get brought up on page one of the stickied 2014 LSU commits/offers/prospects thread.

I listed Harvey under athletes.

All of those guys in that post are interested in LSU. The bold ones have offers.

The rankings for some those guys will change if they ever update it. I use that list because it's the first one that came out ranking 2014 kids.

You can look through The 2014 Top 100 and see where they fall on there half way through the summer.

So lets see, we lead for Paris, Simmons, Upchurch, Hampton, and now Harvey. And wasn't there a Texas guy saying that LSU has edged in to the lead for Hoza according to one of their insiders? Texas will belong to LSU next year.

Great group of Texans right there. Sick part is that there are more on the list that are some badass prospects as well. Loaded DE group at the top. Texas will make up for the so called down year this year.

Some notes on a few of these kids that I've picked up

Jerrod Heard-I'm sincerely hoping Texas fricks up and passes on Heard. I hear they're seriously thinking about it after he was the guy for a while. He's exactly what Les wants at QB and with our success this year we should be able to snag him. He's a better JT Barrett imo.

Myles Garrett-I hear he's Texas bound.

Darrion Johnson/Arrion Springs-2 more of that loaded DB class and at least 1 is set on leaving the state.

Cameron Hampton-Says Texas/LSU are 1/2 but I've heard LSU is in a great spot if they want him.

Nick Watkins-may be one of those kids that keeps things interesting. Talented.

Cedric Collins-was the stud before the other stud DBs popped up. Skyline kid, so we know there will be drama at some point. Hopefully between Texas and TAM.

Donald Catalon-has us top 2 but i think if Texas wants, Texas gets. Good thing is, I don't think we want him . Not now at least.

Tony Upchurch-looks like a stud.

Jamal Adams-yet another S. Good looking kid.

Edwin Freeman-TAM early and may end up at LB.

Armanti Foreman-Have to be prepared to take his brother as well. Not sure we do that. Both are good talents but 2 for 1 is not usually something we do.

Where is the Cannon kid?

So maybe it's not about playing for UT after all. Maybe what all the TX prospects really want is to beat TAMU. If so LSU is in for a fun ride.
