Claiborne and Mathieu didn't become great by not having any talent. You have to have talent to play. Now of course good coaching helps out a lot as well, but these guys were excellent athletes that our coaching staff went out there and found.

Isn't White related to Claiborne...?
Another one of those Shreveport steals that get no national recognition.

You guys are off base. Wilson is the recruiting cootdinator. Every recruit talks to him. Then when you come on visits you talk to position coaches. So yeah id say the coaches on this staff do a fair share of recruiting when the kids are on campus.

Ding Ding Ding
Could be a great thing because they saw him a ton and think he's a great player.

How long before someone says he's throwing up gang signs?

So Mathieu and Claiborne must've just pissed you off when they committed
Not at all. I was explaining that we will not know how the guy will turn out for some time. So the offer list is one of the best ways to tell if the kid is legit. That's why I said it works for about 90% of recruits. No need to be an arse, I was just letting the guy know that tidbit.

Wait until new film comes out. He is a stud and someone the staff sees often. Miles and Krags kids play with him. I say he ends up a 4* when it's said and done
If he (Tim) decides to play hard on every down. Seems to get up for the big games, needs to have his motor running every down of every game to warrant 4* consideration. Very athletic, plays on kick-off coverage (aka Mingo).

You're seriously questioning our staff's ability to recruit when we are head & shoulders better than every team in America sans Bama?
Our fan base = fricking idiots

I haven't seen any highlights of Williams, but the Glen Oaks picture earlier in the thread must be from his freshman year. The only highlights out there of White that I'm aware of are from his sophomore season.
Maybe the staff has more recent information than the internet does. On the White video it says his gpa was 4.4, maybe they don't view these two as more "elite" talent compared to some others that didn't get offers...but perhaps the best combination of talent and character?

Can Williams be compared to Eric Reid as a prospect after his junior year?
Rivals shows Reid ended up with offers to North Carolina State, Stanford, Tulane, Tennessee & LSU.
Would he have gotten more offers if he hadn't committed in March of 2009?
Just wondering if they aren't looking for more guys who can handle football and academics with the ease it seems Reid has. He is also one of the go to guys for recruiting according to the reports of yesterday's events. They may be wanting more kids that can be leaders on and off
the team.

You must really be delusional if you think we out recruit everyone except Bama.
We develop better than anyone when it comes to defense but i don't know about recruiting.

Y'all tripping. Ive broadcasted Tim Williams since his freshman year. Rivals does a poor job following Louisiana talent. Tim is a monster.

He could be. But Green Oaks is a really bad school academically. Going to have to stay tuned to White's eligibility.

Thought he was related to Claiborne. I think they're cousins...
Not sure though...

Sounds like the complete opposite actually, but I guess he could completely bomb the ACT.
