so you have Tolan/Perkins as starters and you go 3 deep on the depth chart with both Maurice Williams and Singleton both probably coming here in 24 and both or at least one moving to LB in college

We need at least 2 good Lbs besides Perkins. Obviously we want Perkins to take over for Baskerville but we need someone else to do that when Perkins is doing Perkins things

Most teams still play Nickel in those situations- they’ll use a ss as their nickel back to get more run support

Bama and UGA both run 3-4 defenses but are hardly ever in base

You have:

Perkins and Penn/Tolan
Whit Weeks and Tolan/Penn
West Werks and Braithwaite.

You have a true 3 deep at linebacker. IF a game changer enters the portal sure go after them just like every other position. But having a 3 deep isn’t what I call thin or a position of need. The coaching staff loves Tolan and Penn, like Damone Clark before him, gets way more hate than he deserves.
