What are the odds that either of these kids ever make it to BR? It seems the fact that Maineri has been signing kids who mostly sign pro contracts has caused LSU to drop off in baseball the past two years.

The majority of the guys that LSU loses to the draft aren't expected to end up here by PM. It's the few that PM thinks will show up, that end up bolting that are killing LSU. Sometimes you land them, like Jacoby Jones and Guasman, and sometimes you lose them. These are 2 that I doubt PM thinks will show up, so he will likely recruit other guys to replace them.

New CBA could turn out to be huge for LSU baseball. With the new penalties in place for going over slot to sign players it is very likely you will see more high school players coming to college.

We'll def never see Gallo unless injury hits him. Gallo was rated as a first round pick in a lot of mocks i saw last year.

New tax system for going over slot, potential to lose future 1st round picks as well. I would project more kids head to college in the hopes of raising their stock. Also there are no more MLB contracts that can be signed by draft picks just MiLB. This will also push more kids out of the draft and to school
