To speak to the West recruits:
Vanderdoes: (5%) Heavy Oregon lean who just might end up going to MLB route first. Left-handed pitcher with 92-94 mph fastball.
Willis: (20%) Is interested, but is "playing the game". Expect him to stay on the WC, but potentially not at USC (my opinion).
Pagano: (????) This kid is all over the board, and was manhandled at Rising Stars a couple of weeks ago. Definitely a great self-promoter. A sure fire project, and there are better players closer to BR out there for sure.

I tell you what Torjan Ace....There's a lot of people on this board (including me) who said you called it correct about Pagano and what he's about. It seems as if everything was spot-on!

I realize Tunsil and Nkemdiche may be no more than 10% likely to sign with LSU. But both of themare among the 4 or 5 most desirable players still left on our board (particularly Tunsil, who I think is the #1 most-desirable player our coaches are still pursuing).

This is a fantastic thread and needed
Hope you're right about Williams. Can't remember the last time a top-recruit in the state was this quiet.

Thanks jayboy504. Since LSU is more active on the WC this year, I figured it would be beneficial to try and keep Tiger fans in the loop.

I'd kinda like to get Goodman. With all we're losing this year (including surprising transfers and several possible early entrants) we're going to need DB depth.

It seems a pretty safe bet at this point. I think he just wanted to pull rank and get what he wanted and the Texas staff sufficed.
To the OP, good post. Don't agree with all the percentages but your opinion is as good and possible as anyone else's, so good job .

RE Torrodney Prevot
My guess is you can scratch Texas off the list. The guy skipped a trip to Texas because "I couldn't get off work". Plus, Texas was VERY LATE in showing interest. Sometimes that doesn't hurt but I believe it does this time. It is LSU vs Texas A&M IMO. Stick a fork in Texas, they're done!

CB Priest Willis...LSU's chances: 50%
Probably the most intriguing to me of the entire bunch. Has LSU EVER signed a player out of Arizona? He has always spoken very highly about LSU and says how he really wants to visit. Tons of teams vying for him, but who knows...
Overall, I don't know how accurate your percentages are, but to be fair, mine would be Kentucky windage just like yours.

DT Scott Pagano
We have a poster on my home site from Hawaii that talks with some of the Hawaiian recruits off the record and gets some good info from them. Unfortunately this is what he had to say about Pagano... "Spoke with him today. He's going to Florida unless something weird happens, then LSU would be his No. 2".
From what I've heard though, he's a 3 year project with the potential to be good as an upper classman. So he wouldn't be able to jump in right away and help out.

Pagano can take his overrated talents to UF and continue to get pancaked by Boutte. Dude has no heart imo after the shite he pulled at the 5 star challenge.

I don't know how overrated/underrated the guy is, but I will say one thing bothered me. Wasn't he the guy who called out Nkemdiche as not attending camps because he was afraid to compete. Calling another player out or making claims as a HS senior concerns me. Maybe it is the Ryan Perrilloux "I will win 4 Heismans at LSU", and I believe he didn't even start 4 games...what did he start...1 or 2?

I agree with this. The horns mishandled his recruitment and it pushed him away. They didn't show the love that A&M and LSU did.
As for a 60% chance he goes to LSU, I will have to disagree. There is nothing to indicate he is anymore than dead even with both schools. To be honest though (no flame), I would be surprised if he doesn't end up with A&M. There are alot of Houston area guys committed to A&M in his ear right now.

I have no idea where he is leaning, but I think this guy has more integrity than T Davis from Shreveport who 2 weeks before signing day said he wasn't interested in talking with Texas, canceled a meeting, and then signed with them. I think it is pretty obvious as you and I stated that Texas is out of this. Funny, he is making the mid July camp at LSU, so apparently he can get off work then.
If someone put a gun to my head and make a prediction, I say he goes to LSU. I have 0 evidence by the way but the "peer pressure" deal is vastly overrated IMO. Unless it is a girlfriend or something, I discount almost everything else related to "in his ear" or "are friend", etc, etc, etc.

I would imagine his recruitment at UT will pick up substantially since they just lost that DE.

Agree and Walker committing yesterday may be the final push needed for TAM.

I agree about Vandedoes but disagree about Willis. I say it is closer to 40% and I have seen recruits play games/feign interest. Willis has been talking LSU for months, not days or weeks. That is not the modus operandi of a guy "playing the game". He has talked up LSU for months, says he loves the defense LSU plays, and already has an official visit planned with his friend Goodman. I'm not betting the ranch he will sign with LSU if LSU has room for him but I would bet the ranch he isn't "playing a game". Nobody keeps that up for months....too boring for the recruit himself.

I hope Prevot goes to LSU. anm would waste his talents and not develop him like LSU could. Mingo should be their main selling point guy is a beast and eerily similar to Prevot when he first arrived to BR IMO
