Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Alabama wait to offer Carter until he camped there in June? For that matter, didn't C Sims only get his offer after he camped there? If that is true, can someone explain why it is ok for Alabama to wait and evaluate players at camp, but it is not OK for LSU? Is it because they are Bama and we are LSU? Or because they are in state players or what exactly?

We can only sign 25 players so the coaches have to choose certain ones. How should they do that? Should they just go off the rankings put out by the services or evaluate the players on their own? LSU has had a decent number of players drafted including some guys that were 3 and 4 stars as HS kids, so it would seem like they have an OK eye for talent and or they can develope the players, so I'm kinda curious why they should change their entire evaluation process because 1 or 2 kids went out of state that didn't have LSU offers turned out to be good.
