That's what Oregon is paying Moore. A 5'11, 180 lb. high school senior. Good luck!

Wait till he’s in the portal.
This shite is off the rails.

That’s so irresponsible.
That much money for 1 skill player.

First off no one can compete with Oregon’s bag man Knight . Why get your body torn up in the SEC week end week out because of the better competition than any other conference . Bigger shoe contract in the future padded with more money, Dan Henning is the new Nick Saban money talks a few years ago you could not get a kid from the south to visit Eugene Oregon. A money cap might be too late it’s out of control the NCAA is helpless a collage union s as nd a team cap is the only way to make everything even .

the college football we grew up watching is dead.
That what it will take to get the number one WR in the country now.

I get 1.3 seems like a lot of money for a high school kid but aside from biggest bag upfront what does Oregon truly offer you longterm?
If LSU or Texas was offering you say 7-800k to stay close to home, friends, and family
Specifically in LSUs case recent success at position in terms of college success, NFL draft position, and NFL success which results in a multimillion dollar guaranteed contract down the road
That money difference seems negligible vs investing in the process if you believed in yourself
I'd rather be in a position to succeed as an individual, as a team, and develop. I'd want to play with great players everyday in practice and on GameDay, work with coaches who have had great success at putting players like me in the NFL and getting the bigger bag at the end of the process vs taking a few extra hundred thousand upfront that may put me in a worse position 3 years down the road when the NFL and the real life changing NIL deals are being awarded out on draft day
If NIL money is all that matters to you to get your signature...I'm glad LSU wasn't his choice
Nabers just made himself 29.1 million with 18 million guaranteed
Thomas 14.6 million, 7.4 guaranteed
Justin Jefferson just signed 140 million with 89 million guaranteed
Chase is in the final year of his rookie deal which was fully guaranteed for 30 million and will most likely reset the market next offseason
Oregon over that same time has had 2 WRs drafted total
4th rounder this year Troy Franklin 4.8 million, 850k guaranteed
7th Rounder back in 2019 Dillion Mitchell...who? And not worth even looking up

Hate it so much. I hate the idea of having to root for my team to spend as much money as possible to secure recruits. Not sure how it's sustainable.
When people try to challenge the idea of it then others say you must hate capitalism. No, I don't. I miss the old idea of college college athletes not being professional. Then people will say well they always got paid under the table. Okay? But it wasn't outrageous like this. Hard to keep up with this kind of spending.
Lastly, people would argue I wouldn't care if my team had unlimited spending. I would still not like the idea of it and would hope things would change, but of course it would be cool as a fan of the team.

When your family has only one eight year old car , your family is on social programs , you have ten members in the household the list goes on and on hey you do what you have to do . Your son has just won the NCAA lottery $500,000 , 1m , 1.3 m you work with that stop sleeping with Rats and Roaches .

College sports are over. Just call it the minor leagues of whatever sport they are playing in. I will watch to see how it all unfolds but after 45 years of having LSU football tickets I may start selling mine on the open market and just stay home.

Market just keeps getting reset, how can anyone see the sustainability in this is beyond me
If we were to overpay for a position, id rather choose DB/DL over a position where we’ve naturally developed first rounders with in state talent

Who cares, he’s from out of state and going to a non sec school. Get the Louisiana WR’s.

Numbers are thrown around for all these kids.
We have absolutely no idea if they are true. If Moore got $1.3 million, how much did Bryce Underwood get?
See how easy that is?

It’s already been stated by Bryce that he passed on multiple offers for much more, because he is looking ahead to the NFL and not the instant payday. He wants to be developed and succeed in the league.

How long before Underwood takes a bag of cash. There is speculaiton all over the Oregon board this morning.

All recruits say they passed on more money. Moore, for instance, isn't going to say he chose Oregon because they offered him the most money.
Alabama recruits are going there because of the coaches, even though the staff has never coached a game together.
No Ole Miss or Ohio State transfer went there because of money.

1.3 is still a lot to think about.

If I were them, I’d be speculating too. It’s obvious that they can buy any player they want. If Oregon decides they want a player and are gonna pay this kind of money, who’s gonna stop them?
For all the big talking Texans, this has to be a kick in the gut to know Oregon came in to their backyard and took their prized recruit. The kid they were just so sure was all Texas lmao. And it was clearly just a money grab after swearing it wasn’t when he decommitted from LSU.
Better hope your school has boosters willing to pay millions for every elite recruit at this point.
Man this is fun isn’t boys?
