Hoza Scott is the best player in Texas. If he had committed to LSU, y'all wouldn't disagree. Good get on Paris.

Clifton Garrett

I love this time of year. So much recruiting optimism. We've already got a new thread today on Jabrill Peppers, Adoree Jackson, and Da'Shawn Hand. Might as well start one for Garrett too.

So you're telling me these guys will make me forget Curly Hallman getting the top running backs from AL, MS, LA, GA, and TX in one signing class, lol???

Just in case, Robert Johnson, Artie Moore, David Butler, Robert Toomer and Jay Johnson were all the top rated RB's in their States. Only Toomer and Butler finished here.

Maybe not, Probably came from Max Emfinger and we ran with it, lol.
I remember the first game against A&M, Robert Johnson busted a long run on the first series and we thought it was a sign of great times ahead, but was only a cruel tease!

I looked at his film. No offense, but I don't get what all the hype is about. Nothing really jumped out at me. If you have time, could you please explain to me how in the world he is rated as the third best player in Texas. Thanks in advance.

Hoza is a beast, however, just about every recruiting site has either Paris or Tony Brown as the #1 recruit from Texas.

I just expected to see impressive film, like Craig Loston or somebody.

Is Deondre Clark the #1 player in Okla. Someone mentioned the #1 player in Ill., who is he.

Why is Stud recruiting Garrett... a LB? Shouldn't Chavis or someone on the defensive staff be on that?

He's #2 composite, which is the rating that be defaulted to for all recruits. The combination of all four major services should all be weighed for an overall ranking, imo. Very rarely will one act as a heavy outlier and screw up the composite (as was the case for Tre White and ESPN).

I got you....but the overall consensus #1 player in Oklahoma is QB David Cornwell LINK...I was just pointing out that Clark isn't the #1 in OK

Clark is still a very talented player and I would love to have him in the class regardless.
