How are things on the diversion? I built a house on River Highlands, had to sell due to move to Houston but wondering how things are? I was there when Gustav came in, water higher than that?

Amazing.

Anyone in Springfield or Killian with a Tickfaw River report? Just based on river gauge at Killian, it appears I am fricked.

Not a tickfaw report, but my dad is right off of blood river (just north) and while it isn't in house yet it is coming up quicker than he has ever seen in his 14 years there.

That's what i was afraid of. The river gauge plot has been climbing faster than our debt under Obama. Not going to be fun dealing with it.

I think the water was higher for Ike than Gustov. The water now is higher than what we had for Ike, and the wind and rain has not let up. I think we have been pounded hard for the last 12 hours. I expect this to be worst than tropical storm Allyson in 2001. That was the worst have I have ever seen it. The homes here will be fine but I would expect to see lots of flooding upstream.

Lost power and water in springfield

That sucks! We have power but it hasn't stopped raining
the Amite river is going to be ridiculous tomorrow. I walked around my house before sundown and just the rain water in the yard is too deep to drive through. It will only get higher with the river coming up.
