My boss was just looking at something showing a forcast for the next 24 hours or so making it seem like the storm is just going to sit on top of LA for like 18 damn hours over NOLA to BR area.

Looking at the latest IR loop it looks like the eyewall may have just made landfall near Venice.

Some models have predicted that. Not sure if the NHC forecast says the same.

I just saw that too. Like it was going to hug the coast then come up west of us. Would be a very wet scenario.
