On a worst case scenario note, is everyone protected from undesirables? I only have a handgun. I hope the cops who have been patrolling the whole area keep patrolling till everything is back to normal.

Both glocks loaded with 4 spare mags loaded, and a Rem 870 with buckshot not far. I will be fine.

People were generally making fun of the overreaction to this thing, not the thing itself.

I think it is safe to say we undereacted thus far.

If things are looking much worse than what was thought yesterday is it overreaction?

All depends on where you live, but yesterday it was said this would be a cat 2, possibly cat 3. Albeit a faster moving storm, but a much stronger storm.

For the most part, yes, alot of people overreacted to this storm (again, all depends on where you live).

OK, got a report for the lower part of da parish. One brother told me that he has been out of power from 7pm, no flooding, but a shite load of wind and rain. Another brother reported that he lost power about an hour ago. He lost part of his roof and has some rain coming in. He still doesn't know how bad the roof is. No flooding around him, but shite load of wind and rain. Was told all other family memebers are safe sofar.

What/who is we?

No need to sensationalize anything. If you didn't prepare, yeah, you under reacted, but the federal, state and local governments all prepared and advised their citizens to do so.

How can you say anyone has overreacted already?

Agreed broke. Getting hammered in the darkness just makes it seem much worse. This thing just squatting out there is a worst case scenario. Watching the gauge on the Tickfaw shooting up. North wind had it at bay until it moved East, now it looks like my place is in for a good douche job.

(Al Roker had to tie off his satellite truck to somebody's SUV-pretty sure Cantore is wondering why they hired such a pussy).

Just woke up in Metairie, Cleary and the Lake. Still have power, but no Cox. Went outside on back patio and on front porch, looks like my side fence has damage and a bunch of tree limbs down, but doesn' t seem to be anything major. Will go back outside at daylight to take a better look. It's raining like a MF.
