Anyone near the Mimosa Swim club? Friends of ours live there but evacuated ... any news from that area?

I'm in Ashton plantation...still have power and the weather is still pretty nasty so the only damage I can see is whatever is outside the windows

Sister lives in Willowdale. The power has been out there since around 10 last night. No flooding yet.

Just spoke with my mom who stayed back she said she went check on my grandpas house during a lull in the weather. She says trees down in mimosa park and way back by the pool there is water in the streets none in houses from what she saw.

I've heard of only some street flooding. And their power was back on. This wasn't Willowdale, but just across 90.

Anyone know if my sister could drive from Willowdale to the Quarter? She is starting to get nervous about flooding and wants to go to our mom's place

Still not hearing about much flooding, though my sil said she heard about the 6 foot storm surge. But I haven't heard any confirmation. I have a friend that is in the EOC, he was updating on Facebook but I haven't seen anything from him recently. I'm waiting for him to return my text right now, though who knows if he got it.

Sister in Willowdale left and went to our moms place in the quarter. She said the 310 bridge is closed so she had to take river road into Avondale then crossed the GNO

Our boy in the EOC said No surge yet but models are showing a range of 5-8 ft possibly. They are keeping their eyes on it.

This was an hour ago.

Have some friends that drove through some of Willowdale, said they didn't see much flooding. Mostly wind damage. I didn't get a lot of info. Just glad there wasn't really any flooding.
