Demco's rates may be cheap, but their service after storms in Ascension is worse than areas with Entergy. Consistently in St. Amant after storms, areas with Entergy will be out for a day maybe 2 max. Customers with Demco will be at 4-10 days in the same neighborhood. I think the moral of the story is that all electrical companies suck, monopolies suck, and competition would be better, though.

Entergy is out and about and repairing things. Even when the storm was here, they were out and about during lulls in the storm.
People are impatient as frick, and I don't even work for Entergy so don't act like I have some sort of bias.
