Their 12"x16" is showing just under $2k but also says to call for an accurate quote due to lumber shortage. That includes everything to make it. That's a very good price compared to other online places selling kits.
I got my cedar for a 10x18 for $2300(quoted $500 less in March but I'm a dumbass and bought when lumber was the highest because I want some shade for the fall) in North LA and spent another $500 on fancy posts bases/carriage bolts/screws. Mine is also probably overkill with 6x6 supports and 4 2"x"12"x20' beams.

Pic of my aluminum cover taken from house side. The beam it is sitting on was from my original wooden pergola. I’ve since added a ceiling fan from the middle beam on the cover.

can you send a pic of how it looks from the pool back towards your house? how is it connected to your house? or is it not attached?

I built one of these about 8 years ago with the translucent panels and used PTP for the wooden structure. I will probably have to replace the panels in another year or 2 due to some of them cracking and letting water through when it rains. I will also have to replace a few of the 2x4 runners due to rot at the end where it is exposed to the elements. It is probably warmer than an insulated aluminum cover, but there is enough breeze usually to keep it enjoyable even during the hottest months. I also have fans to provide air movement on still days. It is also loud during rain, so I don't usually sit out there during storms, but I love the sound from inside as it lulls me to sleep. All in all, I prefer the pergola look over the completely covered patio.

Sequoia Outdoor Supply in Metairie - They helped design a customer pergola with roof. I bought cedar from them and had French Quarter Fencing do install.
What was the ruff estimate of your project. I am currently looking for a contractors if I go with sequoia.
