Looking for a high end 36” oven/cooktop. Any reason to go with the Wolf over the KitchenAid/GE high end versions? Also, I’m leaning toward the four burners with a griddle in lieu of the six burner options. Has anyone gotten the griddle version and regretted not going with a standard six burner stovetop?

I've got wolf. Can't speak to the others, but I wouldn't swap.

I've got a 36" Thermador and could not be happier with it. I considered the griddle because I like to make breakfast etc. but I went with 6 burners and am very happy I did. I bought a stove top griddle that I use for breakfast- actually used it last night. LINK

Now that I have had it 2 years I hate to think I almost sacrificed 2 burners to have the built in griddle. I never cook more than 4 things at a time, but the space to slide pots onto a cool burner is something I didn't know I would need. I recommend that you go with 6 burner setup.

I have regretted not having 6 burners more times than I have been pleased with my griddle. Just get a good griddle to go over burners.

The temperature control on my Kitchenaid oven could be much better.

get the 6 burners and then use a carbon steel griddle on top of two of the burners, that you can take on and off

Take a look at Blue Star. It has very impressive reviews.

Can you not do this with a griddle also?

Op, I have a 5 burner GE stove and the middle is a big oval. I have both a griddle top and a burner top. Seems like there may be this option also?

I have the Wolf gas cooktop with 4 burners and a middle griddle. IT. IS.AWESOME.

I don’t use the griddle a lot but I didn’t need 6 burners either. 4 is plenty. Been using it a lot with the Covid shutdown. Really glad I got it.

I've got a 48" THOR and I absolutely love it. bought it on Black Friday for $3700 4 years ago, works like a champ, replaced heating element once on oven which cost $30 and took less than an hour

THOR had a bad rap for a while, seems to have gotten over that lately. We have a 36” and could not be more happy. Performance is excellent and it’s one of the first things people compliment in the kitchen. Just looks fantastic.

Yeah there customer service is garbage but once you get past that for the money it’s a solid range

We bought our house new but it was completed from the bank when we bought it so, we did not have a choice on picking the stove. It’s a Jenn Air 36” 6 burner

I have a lodge griddle that stays on the stove top. It works great and am about to use it shortly to cook some English muffins.
