I've used Glass Guru of BR a few times and always been pleased

Good friend of mine and his Dad run a window business out of the Lafayette area but travel to that end every week. They’re good. I could get you a number if interested.

Local Pella franchise sucks. More expensive than Relief windows, and a crappier "base" model window. Acadian windows was a little cheaper than Relief, and they have nice windows as well. Window world is the economy option. I haven't used WW, but I hear the local franchise is actually good people.

Also, consider your installation locations. Windows protected by nice eaves are fine for slide-in replacements. 2 story, no eaves, and stucco installations are best served by re-installing a new construction window with a nailing fin, along with the associated waterproofing.

I live in Texas, but last year we had all of our windows replaced by Window World. They're a national company headquartered in Baton Rouge. I had a fantastic experience. High quality product, great warranty on manufactured product and installation, and the price was unbeatable for what we got. They offered some nice options for frame color and glass type (rain glass for bathrooms). Plus, they custom manufacture their own products in Ohio, so you are not getting a third party foreign import.

That's a shame to hear. We had a really good experience.
I don't know much about windows, but these are way better than the original ones from when we moved in (original to a 1977 build). They look nice, open and close easily, and I like the double hung with tilting sash.
The installation crew we got was really fast, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves.

My experience with Window World: Workers are not skilled, they don't speak English, field supervisors don't communicate with management, management will not return phone calls, no follow-up on materials for job. Finally, purchasing has no idea how to track material.
