Have not mowed in probably close to a month and it a tad bit higher than I like it. Ive always heard to not mow after the first cold snap.

Mow it whenever you'd like. Most ppl in the southern part of the state have to keep mowing thru winter, due to cold season weeds popping up in the turf. Clover, etc will grow 3' high.

I continue to mow through December to mulch up fall leaves. Father north I think you could run into thatch buildup issues, but down here there are warm spells frequent enough that material can decompose properly (as long as you have healthy soil).

No mow to mulch especially. Just bag it to prevent excessive thatch

Keep your blades sharp and I mow on a level or two higher than I do in the summer.

Go for it. Nothing wrong with knocking the scraggly stuff down to keep a neat appearance. I'm in N.O. and usually do mow 3-4 times every winter just to keep whatever weeds pop up from making the yard look bad.

Just don't scalp it. Leave it a decent length.

Spraying chemicals will eliminate this problem. Because cutting the grass is definitely only a temporary fix
