This is your typical Generac install which I assume is HMC. They all look about the same. The only thing I would nitpick them on is burial depth on the conduit to some of the generators I’ve seen and gas line routing, but I’d suspect that’s something as simple as telling them how you want it. Most people probably don’t care and give no input.

I went with HMC over some of the others based partly on the level of professionalism, even with the price being a little more.

Does anyone else ever notice how many generator pads and generators are not sitting level. There's three or four of them around my house that when I pass by I wonder what the hell anyone was thinking.

It doesn’t need to be perfectly level so water can roll off…..and I’m sure settling goes on with some.

You sure about that? I don't think oil sumps and pans are meant to be way out of level.
Some of these units are a few inches of tilt one way or the other. My Cummins has a curved or domed top. You must have bought a generac.

Check out the last emails I sent you.
Since it’s a new build, have your electrician install the transfer switch, your plumber install the gas pipe(make sure it folllows the generators instruction manual).
Call GenPro if you really want to go with Kohler they are responsive.
If you need help with oversight or negotiating the electrical or plumbing adders give me a shout.

5 years ago I bought a 20kw generac from HMC along with the generac wire that is color coded for easy connection. Was not much price difference between the 18 and 20kw. Pretty simple to do the job yourself especially with the color coded generac wiring.

I do not. I can sell you you and drop ship and provide you some advice to install yourself but it won’t save much. If you need a 26kW I have a unit I can drop ship to you with a great deal. Feel free to email me with whatever you need or questions.

I have a Kohler and Cummins was my next choice. From talking to lots of people these are the two best. Kohler is only one that’s US made. There was a backlog when I bought my Kohler and had to wait a bit; no big deal. These two brands are the most expensive but you get what you pay for. Didn’t want a cheap Generac made in China.

It all honesty just pick the brand you want somebody will put it in for you. Because when s***** weather happens and the power cuts off my wife and I look at each other for about 4 seconds and then it comes back on. Everything reboots and we don't give a s*** what it cost because we have power and air

I had a great experience. Very easy to deal with and no issues speaking to them.
