Who do you recommend for a whole house generator on the Northshore?

I've emailed several places but only one has responded and the earliest they could come out to give a quote is June 20th. What companies have you had the best experience with to install and buy a gas generator from?

Pan American power. But don’t expect a generator from pretty much anyone for this storm season

Sorrel Electric out of Lafayette. They recently opened an office in Robert to service the NS. Casey Sorrel is as good as they come and demands the same from each of his team members.
Excellent quality, service, and pricing. Sorrel installs numerous residential and commercial generators across the southern LA region.

I’m building now and Wayne at the gen stop was recommended. I had him come out and give me prices on pre wiring house and complete install and his prices were competitive. Showed up on time as was very professional. Wife and I decided not to do the generator now bc we spent more than double our allowance on countertops. So we can’t run central AC but damn that quartzite looks nice lol. As a compromise until we can do the whole home deal I’m having the electrician wire a generator plug to the panel so I can back feed with a portable one for the time being as everything that can be NG in the house is. He also said there is a long lead time on getting units.

I just moved to Covington and was getting the same response. Many voicemails asked that we email them because they didn’t have time to answer the phones. Initially they told us they couldn’t even come out to give us an estimate until late June but now they’re coming tomorrow. Apparently many people are getting estimates but not actually buying so it’s freed them up more than they thought. Telling them you’re paying in cash and not financing will have them out sooner for this reason.
