Yes - the Barricade is a granular form of Prodamine pre-emergent that many who post on this board use and like. I use Dimension (dithiopyr) pre-emergent herbicide (Fertilome or Lesco brand) but it’s no better or worst than Prodiamine

I was looking at filling in low spots with sand I had from left over sandbags. If I put the sand down now and then use the preemergent shortly after is that a good way to combat whatever weeds were possibly in the sand?

Yes it should - I plan to do the same this week - fill low spot with sand and water in pre-emergent on top

Well dang. Was going to apply this evening but had a short shower early this afternoon. Grass blades will be dry but I’m wondering if I should wait until early tomorrow morning to apply now.

Put it down this PM if convenient for you. A shower won’t hurt anything - the pre-emergent is going to have to be watered in anyway.

Is there a different granule that you use ?
I use the granules that are mixed to form a liquid spray... Prodiamine 65 WDG.

I just put down fertilome granules ... first time doing a preemrg so hopefully it’ll work like it’s supposed to

It definitely helps. After starting 2 years ago with a schedule of fertilizer, pre emergent and selective herbicides my lawn this year was fantastic.

I just wore my arse out putting down Tenacity today. Northern Indiana, so admittedly it's a little late.
