Grab your mower while he is out there cutting. Make it a joke, dang old timer you going to cut my grass too?

He will ask what you mean and just tell him straight up he has been cutting into your property.

If you continue to want to take the not adult route, grab you some orange paint and some flags and pretend you had a survey done.

I did try that route by talking to my neighbor about it. If he's going to continue to get his dad to cut his grass, it's his responsibility to notify him that he's fricking up now. I have much more access to my neighbor than his dad since his dad cuts during the weekday while I'm working. I may go the route of building a small 2' high wooden fence with some landscaping along it.

Well in that case run a hot wire along the property line until they get the point then take it down.

Would a short 3’ tall fence consisting of wood posts and 2 wood rails fit the “look” of your property?

It really depends on the nature of the property, but this is what I would do as well if possible.

Another option would be to just put posts to mark the property corners. However, the actual location of the corners is often a suprise!

American Pillar or Green Giant Arborvitae if you want privacy.

Other options would be a short two rail fence

Cut a rebar into 1 ft pieces, hammer them in ground about every foot.Leave 4 inches out the ground. If you keep your grass 5 inches high your mower won’t hit them.

May be able to do something simple and non-obtrusive like a column to demarcate the corners of the property.

Makes it easy to line up and point from one to the other.

Years ago, my dad tried to bend a piece of rebar flat to the ground. It was sticking up out the ground and was a piece of old gate enclosure or something like that. Well, didn't go as planned. He stood on top of it with all his body weight and then tried to thrust downward. Rebar went thru his shoe and into his heel bone and he was stuck on it, couldn't pull his foot back off of it...

You'd think that would work in this scenario, but I've already placed a large piece of rebar sticking up about 2' out of the ground at the survey markers but this old dumb bastard must think they're there for decoration because he pays no attention to them

As for the guy whose dad got rebar stuck in his heel bone.... holy shite

get some short t-posts and put them in the ground about every 10' or so. Stretch green plastic chain end to end. Unobtrusive, simple to install and provides a nonconfrontational barrier for pops. $25 on amazon (green plastic chain). Get the t posts at Tractor supply.
