I have bought some RM43 and 2-4D to kill the weeds along fence lines and what not. I have a ton of briars. Are they considered a broadleaf species?

Thanks

Property is not at my current residence so I can’t have sheep because I can’t make sure they are corralled and feed them. Working on building a house at said place.

you'll have better luck with a sharp spade and a pair of heavy gloves

Yes.

Those should do the job but if not to your satisfaction you can also use Triclopyr which is very effective against woody, vining species.

RM43

This stuff is great, but be careful with it. Don't spray around anything you like.

I use a combination of RM18 (general property), RM43 (driveway, perimeter), and triclopyr (brush/vines/briars) at my place.

Triclopyr works great on briars and saplings, especially the Chinese elm. I combined it with 2-4-D for a ditch bank application and their were no survivors.

Green briars or blackberry briars? Triclopyr will kill green briars but not sure about the blackberry type.

the ram43 will do the job, it worked great to kill all the tough weeds under and around my house that laughed at roundup and other weed killers

i suggest you first use a garden bow rake to pull as much out as you can before spraying whats left

Add in Triclopyr and you'll kill anything that grows

That mix is what I spray everywhere that isn't around a live oak.
