Blanket treated the yard with Celsius/Certainty combo about 4 weeks ago. Pretty much knocked out everything but my bermuda and whatever this is. I'd like to eliminate it before I fertilize. Thanks in advance for your help.

Seems easy enough to remove it.

The Celsius/Certainty combo didn't even give it the sniffles.

Is it as simple as just digging them up? The reason I ask is because I fought off nutsedge last year and that was a nightmare. It didn't appreciate being physically f'ed with.

Did you spray it with sedgehammer? Nutsedge isn't that bad to kill.

Dallis, dig it up, refill the hole with dirt/sand. Then watch the area and spray with glyphosate if/when needed.

I did and that worked well for the most part. However I have it all over my flower bed and I'm scared to spray it in there and kill my plants.

I'll try digging up the dallissgrass. Thanks, everyone.

Here's what I've been doing with good effect. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of sedgehammer per 2 cups of water in a cheap-o spray bottle. Isolate each sprout of nutsedge and piece of plastic or cardboard to protect plants from overspray. Spray liberally. Do this for all the ones you can find. Come back in a week and do the same thing. 1 week later cut them down to the base with scissors.

Have basically eliminated nutsedge in my beds using this method and have not killed a single plant. Good luck

Image for Southern Lawns is readily available and knocked out all of my sedges and many other undesirables. Dallisgrass is Satans spawn.

I have a couple small ones in my yard. Is burning it with a weed torch a viable option less labor intensive than a shovel plus I would get to burn something

I would argue that Torpedo grass takes the cake with Dallis being a very close second.
