Drill holes, pour gas in holes, burn stump. I put an open bottomed barrel around one before and just kept a roaring fire going and it worked well.

Drill several holes in it and soak it with either new or used cooking oil. Then come back about 3 to 4 weeks later and do the same thing again and then burn it. You can put an old metal drum around it and pile on burning charcoal and it will slowly smoulder away over the course of a day or two.

I think I read on here about hearing charcoal in a chimney and setting it in top.

What's on that slab? That might be a problem later on when it continues to rot under it and the slab settles.

Is it so close that you couldn't run one of those rental stump grinders over it? If not, you can try to grind it down.

You need to kill it good and dead first OP. Drill some holes and get a product that is meant to kill tree stumps.

Goodness. A sawzall is great for cutting roots and stumps in the dirt, no need to worry about the blades. I’m guessing it’s not a 12” cut but there’s considerable roots outside of what was cut?

Like I said, if it’s not freshly cut the first thing to do is kill the stump. Then once it’s dried wood and not a live tree you go from there.

Yeah a sawzall will do the trick. I used a shovel and sawzall for 5 oak stumps that size this last month.

You could easily cut it ground level or below with this and a shovel.

Thought you were talking about a 2-3 foot stump! :)

Yea, this is called a 6-pack job. Call a friend over, take turns with an ax, saw, and shovels. Once done, enjoy a few beers and call it a day

Drill holes in it, soak it with water, and pour 45/0/0 fertilizer in the holes. Cover with a tarp.

It will rot faster.
