No, it's not too late.
As Craw discussed in another thread, winter weeds need low temps AND rainfall to germinate.
Go ahead and water in that weed barrier. It should do a lot of good right now.

well i've been watering regularly so they may have already germinated depending on if temps have reached low enough...so that's really my question.

Even if some get through there would be much more to come, so go ahead and do it. Last winter Poa was a fairly late arriver.

if this was a $25 bag of fert, I wouldn't have even asked...but at $400 a bottle and with 1/2 acre, I'd kinda like to know I'm not pissing in the wind
