Should I have any concern with spreading the granules with a dog that loves digging up my St. Augustine runners? He's a 6 lb. St. Aug killer.

Safe. Talstar is Bifen. Google it...it's relatively benign for non-insects (you and your pets.)

Think about this every time someone says google it.

That's all I have to provide to this conversation.

If we Googled everything, this board wouldn't be necessary.

I’m fairly certain a goose died at my house as a result of spraying talstar mist around my house a couple years ago.

I wouldn’t think the pellets would be safe for a small dog to possibly consume

This might just be a coincidence but our 20lb miniature schnauzer had 2 seizures within 24hrs of putting it out. With that said, I put it out many more times without any incident during his life. The other thing is I don't have an irrigation system so I would try to time it with incoming rain. Sometimes I was successful, other times I was not.

Not sure about the pellets but the spray had no effect on our dog.

Maybe from eating a bunch of dead or dying bugs?
