I have an Orbit Yard Enforcer (motion activated sprinkler). It helps, but they still get around it sometimes. That’s when the pellet gun comes in. In combination, I’ve had some success.

My little terrier seems to keep varmints and birds out of the garden.

Depending on the size of your garden, I built a pvc frame around mine and use this netting. The birds would demolish my tomatoes as soon as they started turning red. I assume this would keep a squirrel out unless they chew through it.

put up a squirrel feeder and fill with corn. Give them something else to munch on.

Wrong. They will eat what's in the feeder and eat your garden for dessert. A feeder draws more of them into your yard.
