I just finished building floor for metal shed. Pic below before I added 3/4" PT plywood on top.

Is there something I can seal top of floor to make it easier to clean? I have a bunch of leftover deck stain (Thompson water seal), or maybe like spar urethane? Or some type of paint that would be good?

Not too concerned about looks.

What about some cheap linoleum? Or maybe some stall mats from Tractor Supply? Both would add durability and be easy to clean.

Maybe I'm just super lazy, but what kind of cleaning does a shed floor require besides blowing it off with the leaf blower every other year?

Depends on the work you are doing. Plywood is tougher to sweep than other surfaces, but my main issue is I always end up spilling a little chainsaw oil or similar stuff that "gunk up" plywood pretty well.

I'm not sure, never had a shed, but I assume it will accumulate with mud and whatever else that I might need to clean off with water. Maybe I'm overthinking it.

They sell a cheap shed floor and workbench enamel paint in gallons in most paint departments. Just a hard drying cheap gray gloss that helps keep oil from soaking into wood.

Just make sure to let that plywood dry out before applying paint. It will adhere better if dry. Just about all pressure treated wood is going to be far too wet to apply stain or paint to when just bought.

personally i would leave it just plain raw plywood

but if you really want something better, give it a good coat of paint then put down cheap peel and stick floor tiles, they are like 30 cents each and you can do that whole floor for less then $50

Not to hijack this post but I went on-line yesterday and looked at prices for OSB and see where 7/16 x 4 x 8 sheets are now going for just over $40----that is INSANE.

Treated plywood 3/4 x 4 x 8 was something like $67 a sheet.

It will be interesting to see how far lumber prices drop in the future, but I seriously doubt we'll ever see pre-Covid prices again.

Yea the price i paid for lumber & materials for foundation was about equal to cost of shed itself. 4 sheets of plywood for $280 was a big to swallow.
