Anyone into showing their seasonal decorations, or is this board more for maintenance? I love seasonal decorations (Easter, Christmas, and Halloween mostly), but I don’t want to clog the board with such posts if they’re not wanted.

Show them.

We’ll tell you how they rank in the fiercely contested seasonal decorations contest.

Mate, my ex fiance Anya destroyed my beloved mannequin that I dressed in various outfits. He served as a "butler" for our annual Halloween party, in which I placed him in the foyer and dressed him in an old-fashioned tuxedo. His arms were positioned in a gesture towards our sunken living room, where the drinks were served in front of a crackling fireplace

This board is mostly maintenance and lawn care, but I think some posters will like to see some holiday decorations as well. When the holiday season gets a little closer, I would post them up and see what happens.

It's part of your home, go for it. Michael's has really affordable seasonal decorations for inside the home.

Friend,

TigerDroppings is Christmas decorating central. I do not think there is a topic nearer or dearer to the heart of the OT Lounge than preparing for Christmas in both heart, mind, and hearth.

Please refer to TulaneLSU’s Advent Pilgrimage for links to Christmas decorating advice.

Yours,

I’ve started putting more elaborate Halloween decorations up the last few years. Last year, a 10 year old boy pointed to one of the scenes I had set up and told his buddy it was “inappropriate.” Totally made my year. The only thing stopping me from going all out is knowing I’ll be downsizing in the next few years.

From your TulaneLSU's Christmas Pilgrimage V: Top 10 foibles and flaws of Clark Griswold, this entry as #10 was ahead of its time.

quote:

10. Clark works as a food manipulator.

Many of the health problems in our world originate with Big Food’s manipulation of the food supply. By maximizing the use of synthetic and cheap foods, Big Food has become increasingly profitable, all the while putting in our stores and restaurants foods that are killing us. Does it bother anyone that Clark has made his livelihood from poisoning the public? He brags about his new “cereal varnish,” which prevents milk from penetrating cereal. How can something that he calls a varnish be anything but a carcinogen? What’s worse is he’s proud of giving the American public cancer and diabetes. His invention, he pridefully hopes, will garner him Food Additive Designer of the Year.

I think you should start the first annual TD Halloween pumpkin carving contest.
