Where is the best place to buy salt for salt water pools. I'm sure the pool stores mark theirs up pretty high.

Home Depot, Lowe’s, Sams, Costco

I have a Costco membership and live close to a Home Depot.

I used the water softener salt from Home Depot. $5-6 a bag. The pool salt is a couple dollars more. Still cheaper than pool store.

Don't buy pool salt, buy water softener salt. Same shite, and considerably cheaper.

And you just broadcast it?

It’s been a while since I had a pool but my pool was 15x30 and a bag would get me up around 200 ppm. Pour it in the deep end and let it dissolve and then brush.

Do I need to turn the Salt cell off?

Can you send a link to some of this softener salt? Everything I'm finding online is the same price I can get regular pool salt.
