Are you going through insurance? If so, get some quotes from around town and do NOT mention to the companies that you're using insurance to help pay.

Why would you get a contractor instead of directly calling roofers who all offer free quotes?

Just had a roof put on by Pelican. I've had repair work done by Garcia on my chimney. Both were fairly good to deal with, but I'd give Pelican the edge. They're both contractors so they all still kind of suck.
Garcia damaged my edge shingles with their ladder during the chimney repair and were difficult to get any followup. In the two week period of trying to get them to come out, I ended up getting a new roof. Pelican got the new roof job because of the difficulty on the minor edge tile issue with Garcia.
The chimney repair Garcia did was very good. The roof Pelican put on was very good. Contractors doing contractor things though. They all want to slap the job together and be gone, even if you have minor issues after-the-fact.

I have used Premier South multiple times and have always had a good experience.

I've only used them once gutters and roof, but was quite satisfied. They fixed some minimal carpenter ant damage to sheathing. Their quote included a modest amount of repair. If more damage had been found, it would have been an extra cost. Their equipment rutted a neighbor's yard. On the final walk around, without argument they knocked $300 off the bill. I had my lawn guys, fill and resod.
Their logistics are impressive. Sunday night everything appeared at the curb. Seven the next morning the crew arrived. By 6pm the crew of up to 9 was gone.
