Recommendations for where to buy a door (BR area)

What was previously a patio on my house was closed in effectively making what was once an exterior door on the back of the house now an interior door. I'd like to change out the metal door that is there to a nice wooden (at least looking) one, but I'd prefer to just buy a slab door and not change the frame or anything. Seems everything is pre-hung. Any recommendations on where to find a decent selection of 36x80 doors? or am I just looking to do something that I shouldn't?

you can get a slab at Himmel’s in prairieville or at builders hardware in BR. However…it is critically important that you measure your hinge locations on the door, top of door to top of hinges. And youll probably have to prep the door for the hinges yourself (not that hard). Usually the slab can be prepped at the shop for standard cylindrical hardware

Just picked up a 36x80 five panel solid door at ReStore. 28.00.
They had quite a few. Possible (probably) hinge locations won’t match up perfectly for your opening but that’s a simple, easy fix.

Where would you get that done? Lowe’s is trying to make us buy the whole door with frame bc they said the if we just buy doors the labor will twice as much if they have to prep all the new doors for hinges. Is that true?

That’s a DIY. Every one is different but every one’s the same. I wouldn’t know who I would recommend, but I can talk you through it if you like.
