Privacy trees in North LA

Can anyone tell me the best mid size trees to plant along the back of my property for privacy? I dont want to build a privacy fence but I would like the back acre to be bordered. Thinking some sort of Evergreen would be full enough and not be terrible to prune and maintain, but am curious if you guys have any insight or recommendations.

10' to 15' would be fine. A little taller wouldnt be out of the question either

How about viburnum. There are many types but they are relatively fast growing.

I planted a few Screenplay Holly trees a few years ago and they are doing great. They are about 6-7ft tall now, cone shaped that produce red berries but their leaves don’t have all the prickly points.

Wax myrtle grow like a weed but need FULL sun to be useful as a privacy fence. otherwise will be spindly and not very thick with leaves.
no to the leyland cypress.
arborvitea do well.
we have dwarf burford holly as a screen and they appear to be very slow growing. at least for us. I can't tell if they like more shade or more sun. our needlepoints around the house grow too fast, though.

I planted 9 Eastern Red Cedars and 8 DD Blanchard Magnolias pruned in cone shape to kind of match the shape of the cedars. They are around 10-12' tall right now and I'm thinking in 3-4 more years I won't see the house behind me, which will be a good thing.

People I know built a new home and did this, magnolia's.
These are only a few years old so I would assume they will fill out once mature.

Eagleston Hollies are nice. My backyard fence line is 15 feet tall after 4 years. Tolerate both heat and freezes below 0C. Evergreen

Depends on species some grow can 18 feet plus. They do grow fast and can be placed pretty closely.

For healthier growth and less crowding, go closer to 5 ft apart.
Keep 3-4 ft away from fences or walls for airflow and trimming.
A staggered double row makes a very dense hedge if you have the room. They like well-drained soil."

Whatever you do, do not plant Leyland Cypress. They do poorly in the south's heat/humidity and fungal diseases run wild on them. I lost a dozen and my neighbor lost all his. I see people all the time cutting them down. They are only good up north where it's cool or out west where there's no humidity.
If you want an evergreen/conifer type of tree, go with Thuja "Junior Giant." It handles the south well, is disease resistant, and deer hate it. It gets about 20 feet tall at its max (and grows just as fast as the Leyland).
