Is it too late to put down Prodiamine in St. Augustine? Also, Can it be mixed with winter weed cocktail and applied together?

My opinion - not too late, but you may have missed the window to dodge the majority of weeds that could already be germinating.

I'll let the other lawn experts chime in...

Where are you? BR have high likelihood for rain every day the next 7 days. I'm not sure if you can wash out pre-emergent, ronk/Craw might know if that's possible even if it's consistent light showers. The last two weeks seemed like the prime time to do so.

I asked about putting the cocktail down after pre-emergent and was told 24 hours was fine. I don't think it'll hurt to attempt to put down Prodiamine now but as the first reply said, you likely missed the window for most.

This late I would try to find a Dimension product that's combined with fertilizer.
I say this because Dimension can do some good against weeds that have already germinated (mostly crabgrass).

Perhaps only crabgrass??

I don’t know if they can be mixed, maybe ronk can answer. As stated, though you’ve missed the optimal window for pre-emergent application not all weed seed seeds have germinated so I’d apply pre-emergent. Additionally, I agree if you have a crabgrass issue, Dimension pre-emergent does have have post-emergent activity on seedling crabgrass not provided by Prodiamine.

Also remember the atrazine does have some pre-emergent activity as well as post-emergent activity.

You can mix it but do you have to. Since the prodiamine/dimension has to be applied to the whole lawn I wouldn't mix the cocktail in with it unless my yard was extremely weedy. It is always a good idea to keep as much weed control as possible off of St Aug.

I have the nitrophos 15-5-10 and the nitrophos barricade preemergence.

Can I apply those at the same time?

I also have the Asomite trace minerals, can I apply all 3 at the same time?

All of those are on the randy lemmon schedule that are to be applied end Feb/beginning March.

If you mean the same day, yes. If you mean mix all 3 in the spreader and make one pass around the yard then no.

Yeah same day, 3 separate applications back to back to back.

Thanks

Is the Lesco Stonewall 0-0-7 from Lowe’s the correct product to throw out right now, even if it’s probably to late to catch all the weeds that have germinated already?

Yes - that’s Prodiamine which is a good pre-emergent.

I plan on putting down Lesco Stonewall tomorrow. Do I need to water it in or can I wait for the forecasted rain? Any issues with washing out?

Water it in. It doesn’t wash off.
