Power Washer Recommendation

Looking to get my first gas power washer. Any recommendations out there? Will just be at home use - driveway, windows, house, deck spraying. As far as budget, I prefer to by right not twice - but only if the extra is really worth it from a quality standpoint.

I have a Ryobi with a honda engine. I fished it out of the trash, sprayed some carb cleaner in it, and it's been bulletproof ever since. If you get one that has a reliable engine on it the parts for the pump are not expensive and hard to change if something there goes out. I've seen Dewalts and Simpsons with Hondas on them.

Powerwashers are definitely a get-what-you-pay-for piece of equipment. Mine in an old Mi-T-M industrial unit, more than I need but will last years and years with minimal upkeep. This Simpson checks most of the boxes for durability: Tractor Supply
Honda engine, triplex pump...unless you let it freeze full of water it will be the last one you'll ever need for usual residential tasks. Drain the fuel, run the carb dry after every use, flush the pump with pump-saver, store everything so it can dry with water sitting in the wand or hose, make sure the engine and pump have their oils at the proper level, and you'll almost never have a problem with it.

I thought Honda was getting out of the small engine business. Was that just mowers?

They're no longer making the mowers. They are still doing small engines.

Honda engine and a Cat pump
If you spray bleach, buy a gallon of WD-40
When you finish with the bleach, drop the injector line in a small glass of WD-40 and when you see white water spray out, shut it down.
Honda engine and Cat pump - you can’t go wrong with this combo
And just as important, ethanol free gas with a strong dose of Stabil Storage

As soon as you finish with the bleach, drop injector line in WD and squeeze trigger. As soon as you see white water, shut it off.

Honda and a Cat is the way to go…..

The key is the pump triplex only. Ask any repair guy and he will tell you 90 % of pressure washer failures are due to cheap pumps.

A quality triplex pump, I would take a genuine AR axial-cam pump over some Chinese Cat knockoff.

Home Lite 2700 PSI I've had for a few years and love it.

A Westinghouse. Pick a size.
I've had our 3400 PSI Westinghouse for 2 1/2 years now. Have had zero issues with it and it's been used quite a bit. Starts first pull every time.

Ive always bought Briggs & Stratton engines and continue to have great success with them. However, I bought a Kohler 3200 psi pressure washer about 4 years ago and it's been great. Starts and runs like a champ.
