Pavers vs. Stamped Concrete cost.

Anyone have any experience with cost estimates for both of these options? Just recieved a landscaping quote to do 20" of pavers on the side of our driveway that was a bit higher than we expected (~$6,500...driveway can fit 2 cars in a line for length reference).
There's a ton of shade on the side where my wife parks often and can't get grass to grow, so need to do something. Paying to refresh the flower beds while doing this and wanted to spend maybe $6,000 total, but just the pavers are putting us at our threshold.
Would rather pavers over concrete due to tree roots and being able to re-set the pavers if they get pushed up, but if the price is right....

i didnt care for the stamped edge i did on my patio.
it just doesn't look as good as real pavers no matter how good the stamping machine is.
i vote real.

One thing I have learned about Pavers - do not ever try to pressure wash that shite. Holy hell of a mistake I made a few years ago

You could also look at using ornamental gravel such as decomposed granite or Tejas black gravel which looks really sharp. Lot of people around me use Tejas black on the sides of their driveways.

FYI- Mondo grass / dwarf mondo would love it in that shady spot. Even liriope would probably dig it.

That just helped me decide what to do with the side of my house that I'm tired of weed whacking every week.

Blew out the sand, I'd imagine.
