Any advice on tone, shiny or mat finsh?
Anyone that has had them painted for a while...does it fade or mildew fast?

I seen it done and they seem to hold up ok. I was going to paint mine, but when I found out it was only gonna cost me about $1k to replace them all, I went that route.
The new ones are bronze, I’d call it a semi gloss finish.

Thats cheap. Probably the same as painting them.

Sherwin Williams has a special bronze tone color palette. Pick your color and exterior satin paint. Resilience, Duration and Emerald all have mold and mildew inhibitors added. You can still add mildew inhibitor additive for extra resistance if you have problem areas. If you have deep pockets, try and get Emerald Rain Refresh. It is a self cleaning paint (like rain-x). I had my exterior painted in that and it still works 2 years later. Be aware that paint is in short supply and costs are increasing rapidly. Raw material shortage and supply chain problems have created a shite show. I am sure Benjamin Moore has equivalent paints so one of them should be able to hook you up.

Assuming you’re going to hire someone to paint them, I would quote new gutters for comparison, as it might be closer than you think. Plus you’ll end up with a better looking and lasting result. Any chance you’re doing a re-roof from the storm? If so, it’s a prime time to install new gutters. I like the half round gutters with round downspouts, which is what I have on my home.

Yes. Looking at Owens Corning Estate gray Duration AR. New gutters might make more sense right now

What are your existing gutters made of? Painted aluminum? Painted galvanized steel?
Personally I wouldn't paint existing gutters. It's gonna flake off eventually. No one will warranty the paint job either. Flaking, peeling, cracking, etc.
I'd get new gutters in a color of your choosing. Here is a link to a gutter supplier in B'ham we use called Spectra. They have a NOLA location below.
