Oil Filters for Generac Generator

I have a 32kw Generac generator. Generac's filters are pricey. Is there any meaningful difference between Generac's filters and a quality store-brand (NAPA) equivalent? In other words, has anyone had any issues using non-Generac filters?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

No, there is no difference. As long as there is a comparable filter in another brand (which there should be), you should be good.
Keep in mind, if the generator is under warranty and you have an issue, they may point to a non Generac oil filter as reason to not honor the warranty.

this ^^^^
but all you have to do is keep an old generac oil filter in a ziplock bag and put it on before calling the repair man, then go back to wix after its fixed

How expensive are the 32kw filters? I know for my 22kw I paid about $10 per filter at the local supply house.

They all have standards to meet when manufactured. Off brand is just as good as any names!

I use Wix in everything.
As do I. Of note...Nappa GOLD are made by WIX

This is the way. It also depends on how much of a stickler the service tech is. Keep the old one just in case, give them no reason to deny a warranty claim.
